The story of Charles Cabinets began in 1954 when Don Charles established the company at its current location. In 1974, Don Charles hired Jim Schreier as an apprentice cabinetmaker and eventually sold the business to Jim's father, Matthew Schreier, in 1976. Matt, a seasoned cabinetmaker with 20 years of experience, worked alongside his son until his retirement in 1991. Jim and his wife, Deb, then took over the business, with Jim envisioning to elevate the company's design, customer service, and workmanship.
In 2017, Patrick Heavirland purchased the business, bringing his expertise as a designer, carpenter, and contractor with a 20-year career in the industry. Pat had worked with Charles Cabinets over the years and recognized the quality, skill, and professionalism that the company is known for. When the Schreiers approached Pat with the opportunity to purchase the cabinet shop, he saw it as a natural progression in his career.
Today, Pat and the Charles Cabinets team continue the traditions of quality craftsmanship and top-notch customer service. With long-term employees, some of whom have been with the company for over 40 years, Charles Cabinets is dedicated to taking your project from concept to completion and providing an end result that you will love for years to come.
