Our History

For over 120 years, MANS Lumber & Home has been serving the Metro Detroit and surrounding areas with pride and dedication. Our company's rich history dates back to 1900, when Nicholas August Mans began selling coal and peat in Trenton, Michigan. Over the years, the Mans family has expanded its business, establishing multiple lumberyards, kitchen and bath design showrooms, floor coverings, kitchen flooring, a finished carpentry and millwork shop, and an installed products division.
